Commander's Brew Episode 296 - Osgir the Reconstructor

Osgir1

Osgir, the Reconstructor is one of the more popular new commanders from the C21 precons and it looks like there is a very good reason for that. Essentially a graveyard reanimator deck, Osgir is much more versatile than he may seem upfront. Take this deck, for example, we work a lot of value into this one with great cards coming out of the graveyard and even ways to double that up using things like Rings of Brighthearth as well.

From the milling to the creatures to the ramp, everything about this deck revolves around artifacts. Stuff like Codex Shredder, Spine of Ish Sah, and Crystalline Giant are great things to bring back and have two of, or are just good to get on the board in the first place.

Some combos we like to see in this deck really get rolling when we can lessen the artifact costs with stuff like Foundry Inspector, specifically, our little cantrip artifacts like Implement of Combustion or Origin Spellbomb work very well with Aetherflux Reservoir. Cast a bunch of these, gain a lot of life and if we can somehow give our AE a lifelink counter (via Crystalline Giant and Nesting Grounds) you can just win on the spot.

Whatever way you decide to play this deck or this commander, Osgir is super powerful and fun to play. Who rules!? Lorehold RULES!!
