Dakota Anthony Nowosad – son, friend, Magic card game champion – passed away at home on Sunday, October 30th . He was 18 years old, and a student in the Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management program at Carleton University.

 

Dakota was the cherished son of Paul Nowosad and Theresa Collins, and beloved nephew of Shannon Boddy (Andrew), Murray Nowosad, Jason Nowosad, Brian Collins, Eileen Kennedy (late Dougie), Gerald Collins (Lynn), Catherine Erais (Barry), Christine Murphy (Brian), John Collins (Gail), Kevin Collins (Terry), Rosemary Noseworthy (Rob) Joanne Scale (Brian), and Paul Collins (Ellen). He will be missed by his cousins Kenzie and Spencer Boddy, Brayden and Carsen Nowosad, and his 24 Collins cousins. Dakota was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Anton Joseph (Tony) Nowosad and Helen Elizabeth Farkash (nee Anderson), and his maternal grandparents Gerald and Veronica Rose Collins (nee Manley).

 

Dakota will be lovingly remembered for his intellectual curiosity, his kindness and empathy towards others, and his loyalty and dedication to the people and activities he loved.
