Core Set 2020 Promo Packs
What comes in the Core Set 2020 Promo Packs?
Slot one is a promo-stamped rare or mythic rare from Core Set 2020. Could be any rare or mythic from the set.
Slot two is a promo-stamped rare or mythic rare from a curated list of cards from between War of the Spark and Ixalan, selected by Magic's design studio. (One in four promo packs will have a Japanese-only alternate art planeswalker, previously found only in Japanese War of the Spark boosters.)
Slot three is the promo slot. Think FNM. Could be one of five promo cards.
Slot four is a foil alternate-art basic land.
What events can I get promo packs in?
Core Set 2020 Release Weekend - Jul 13th and 14th
It's time to celebrate the release of Core Set 2020 with Release Weekend! On Saturday (11 am) and Sunday (1 pm) we will be running a Core Set 2020 Sealed event. Winner of each event will receive a Premium Promo Pack. We will also give out 3 random Regular Promo Packs drawn at the end of Round 4. (*Maximum 1 promo pack per player per event)
On Saturday and Sunday we will also be running a Core Set 2020 Draft at 4 pm each day! At the end of Round 4, we will do a random draw for 3 Regular Promo Packs and 1 Premium Promo Pack. (*Maximum 1 promo pack per player per event)
Thursday Night Magic (Draft and Standard)
Every Thursday Night we will give out 4 random Promo Packs (1 Premium, 3 Regular). At the end of Round 4, we will do a random draw for 3 Regular Promo Pack and 1 Premium Promo Pack from all players participating (Draft and Standard). (*Maximum 1 promo pack per player per day)
All FNM Events (Draft and Standard)
4-0 Record in each event gets 1 x Premium Promo Pack per event**
2 Regular Promo Packs per event given by random Draw at end of Round 4*
(*From players who did not receive a premium promo pack, Maximum 1 promo pack per player per day. **If no 4-0 players, Premium promo pack will be given by random draw between all players who have the highest number of match points.)
Weekend Events
During the weekends we run some events for Standard, Modern, Legacy, and Pauper. For Saturday Standard and Modern events, the winner of each event will receive a Premium Promo Pack. At the end of the Swiss Rounds, we will do a random draw for 3 Regular Promo Packs*. (*Regular Promo Pack will be kept until the end of top 8 for Top 8 players. If winner won a random pack it will be switched for Premium Promo Pack as winner and Regular Promo Pack will go to 2nd place player)
For Sunday Pauper and Legacy events, the winner will receive a Regular Promo Pack. At the end of Swiss Rounds, we will open up a Regular promo pack and do 4 random draws for the 4 cards inside that promo pack. (*Any player can win individual cards)
Commander Weekend - Aug 24th and 25th
To celebrate the release of the Commander 2019 Decks we are having a Commander Weekend on Aug 24th and 25th. During that weekend we will be giving out a total of 6 Premium Promo Packs and 12 Regular Promo Packs. More details to come! (*Maximum 1 promo pack per player per day)
Saturday Commander
Every Saturday Commander players come out for some Commander fun! Each Saturday at 3 pm and 5 pm, we will crack a Regular Promo Pack at the store and give out the 4 cards inside. Once at 3 pm and once at 5 pm. There will be 8 promo cards to give out (*Maximum 1 promo card per player per day. No promos given out Aug 24th because of Commander Weekend.)
