The Hobbit
Welcome back to the Shire and to adventure! This small set release packs a whallop with major mechanics, great synergies and typal supports that will bolster any deck you care to add them too. So, let’s head out on that journey shall we? It’s time to explore the mechanics of The Hobbit.
Recruit
Recruit is like connive in that you loot, and if you discard a nonland, you get a 1/1 human soldier instead of a +1/+1 counter. This is a predominately white mechanic in The Hobbit.
Storied
Storied activates only if you control three historic permanents and if you have an enduring story or not.
Hone Counter
Hone Counters are added to equipment and increase the power of the equipment by one.
Amass
Amass is back with a new army in mind, Goblins! So get stacking these squirming meanies onto these cards and make em huge!
Ferocious
If you think wolves are ferocious, well meet their nasty cousins the Wargs. Ferocious gives you a bonus effect on a card if you control a creature with power 4 or greater.

Well my friends, as Bilbo once said “I don’t know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve." This is my last article for Wizard Tower as this wizard is going on a journey. I have truly enjoyed my years here at the Tower, but I have to look to the opportunities that present themselves and the road ahead waits.
