Commander Mondays - Sigarda, Host of Armies

sigarda461

Originally, before The Gitrog Monster was spoiled, I had intended to write a piece about Sigarda, Heron's Grace. Although she is not my particular style of deck (I don't particularly enjoy Green/White) I thought she was rather interesting. She's of historical significance to the format, as she is the first legendary human lord printed, so she makes the perfect commander for a human tribal build.

Deck Breakdown

The deck I'm presenting today is essentially a shell of what I'd play if I ran Sigarda as my commander, I packed in all of my favourite white and green utility pieces such as:

Beyond that, the deck is pretty straight forward. You cast your humans, tutor for lords and other beneficial effects, then turn everything sideways.

One particularly noteworthy interaction however, is with Bastion Protector, Since this guy gives your Sigarda Indestructable, and Sigarda gives him Hexproof, it makes your angel friend much harder to deal with.

I'm not going to go into too much more detail this week, as the deck rather speaks for itself. So here it is.

The Deck

Sigarda, Host of Armies

I hope all of you tribal-loving readers enjoy this deck. Feel free to post in the comments what you would add and change to the deck. Have a great week, and thanks for reading.
